St. George Association
The San Jorge Association is the entity responsible for organizing the Moors and Christians Festival held annually in Alcoy in honor of its patron saint, San Jorge. It was declared a "Tourist Interest" in 1965 and an "International Tourist Interest" in 1980. alongside the elite of Spanish festivals.
In addition to organizing its annual festival, its primary goals are to promote worship and devotion to the patron saint, as well as how to take care of its Temple, and preserve the traditions based on the glorious anniversary commemorated, fostering everything that represents the festive and Alcoy spirit.
